Hey my pretty readers… I am always on the lookout for healthy alternatives with easy recipes that are not complicated and require very less ingredients and at the same time taste as good as the heavenly dishes that are not that heavenly for the body…
So here i am with one more healthy recipe.
We all love cakes. Whenever we want to celebrate anything in our lives, it cannot go without a cake. But think of all the unhealthy stuff that enter your body with the beautiful innocent looking cake…..
But healthy eating does not necessarily mean boring tasteless food or depriving yourself of the things you love. Its always about finding balance and triggering your mind to find better choices.
So without further ado, let me share the recipe for Banana cake with just 5 ingredients.
2-3 overly ripe bananas
1 cup rice flour
1 cup milk(any type of milk will do)
1/2 cup organic honey
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essense(totally optional)
handful of coconut flakes
handful of choice of fruits
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mash the bananas to a pulp. Add in the rice flour, vanilla essence(optional), baking soda, milk and honey. Mix well. Make sure there are no lumps of flour. Do not worry if the batter is a bit chunky coz of the bananas. It will add texture to the cake.
Grease cake tray with coconut/olive oil. Pour the batter in.
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until cake is ready.
PS: If toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean, it means your cake is ready…..
Drizzle some chocolate syrup and Garnish the cake with coconut flakes and choice of fruits.
